The View Winemaker Kristy French is a graduate of Western Australia’s Curtin University Wine Excellence Centre in Margaret River with a Bachelor’s of Science in Viticulture and Oenology.
Her winery career started with an historic winery on the Swan River in the heart of Swan Valley, Australia. Since her move to Canada in 2006 Kristy has enjoyed working in both the wine and brewing industry. The Okanagan is the perfect home for Kristy as she pursues her passions for wine, food and the outdoors including hiking, camping, fishing and snowboarding. She is also the ideal new winemaker/diva at The View Winery with her passion for all things fashion.
After completion of a B.Sc. in Biology, our Winemaker Mike Anderson worked his first harvest in the lab at Jackson-Triggs Estate where he was introduced to the science of wine making. Wanting to pursue a career in wine, Mike completed his Masters Degree in 2011 from the Wine Research Centre at the University of British Columbia, just in time to join Nk’mip Cellars as a harvest intern.
Mike has since continued to work both in the vineyards and cellars throughout the Okanagan. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, hiking and fishing. Whatever Mike lacks in knowledge of shoes and fashion, he makes up for with his passion for hand crafting delicious wines at The View Winery.
