The View is one reason that Red Wines are finding a place on the Kelowna winery map.   Kelowna wineries are getting worldwide recognition for certain reds.  The early ripening tendencies of Pinotage make it perfectly suited for our micro-climate, and it’s bold flavours have wine tourists circling The View on their maps for Kelowna wines.


Originating in South Africa in the 1920's, Pinotage is a cross between the silky Pinot Noir and the aromatic Cinsaut grape.  In South Africa Cinsaut is called Hermitage, hence the name Pinotage. 


A 2016 BC Wine awards medal winner, The View’s Pinotage Reserve has an elegant nose with vibrant aromas of dark cherry and spice.  Juicy dark berry flavours are balanced by a lovely acidity and seamless tannins.  It’s elegant and earthy with a hint of smokiness. Whether you’re visiting the wine shop or looking to buy wine online we suggest you try our Pinotage.  It’s the perfect pairing for anything on the barbecue. Silver Lining Red is an approachable, easy drinking crowd pleaser. A blend of Pinotage, Merlot and Baco Noir, it is juicy and jammy with vibrant dark cherry, ripe plum and spice with a hint of smokiness.   Pair this up with anything on the barbeque and you have a winner.    The critics like it too.  This selection notched 90 points at


Well Heeled Red is a fortified “Sticky” made from Pinotage grapes picked from our estate vineyard late in the 2015 harvest. Notes of black cherry, toffee and fruit cake on the nose and palate make this a rich, succulent dessert wine with a lingering finish.
