To be released January 2012
For five generations, our families, the Wards and the Turtons, have farmed this captivating South East Kelowna site. The grapes are gently handpicked from our 10 year old vines, and then artfully made into wine in our packing house, turned winery. With the warmth of the Okanagan sun, our dazzling lake exposed site, and the sandy loam soils, these grapes are world class!
Tasting notes:
Pinotage’s two ancestors - Pinot Noir and Cinsaut, give this wine the personality of a more robust, more rustic Pinot Noir. Our 2009 Reserve Pinotage has a deep garnet hue and complex aromas of Morello cherries, dark berry fruits and a hint of spice and chocolate. Silky and elegant, this is wonderful wine to pair with duck confit, or scrumptious lamb burgers.
Perfect shoes to be wearing while drinking the 2009 Reserve Pinotage:
Anything Jimmy Choo
*2009 was a wonderful year for the Pinotage varietal. When making this wine, we chose not to filter in order to retain optimum flavours and colour.
